NEWTON — Catherine Alice Maberry Warren Quiring, 60, passed away Saturday (May 23, 2009) at her son’s residence in Guymon, Okla.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1949, in Newton to Clel and Loretta (Foster) Maberry.

On Sept. 11, 1976, she married Larry Quiring in Newton. He survives of their home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Catherine was an active member of Praytherville Bible Church in Praytherville, Mo. She was a homemaker and loving mother. Catherine enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She made quilts and blankets for her family members to enjoy. She also enjoyed scrapbooks, family photos and computers.

Catherine also is survived by her mother, Loretta Maberry of Newton, sons, Trad Warren of Hesston, Blaine Warren of Haven and Brian Warren of Guymon; stepson, Kirk Keasling of Excelsior Springs; brothers, Lynn Maberry of Newton, Larry Maberry of Arizona, and Ronald Maberry of Whitewater; sisters, Joyce Alexander and Tammie Moore, both of Newton; 10 grandchildren, Dustin Warren, Jessica Warren, Devin Schweitzer, Mason Schweitzer, Lindsay Warren, Bryson Warren, Billy Roach, Zachary Roach, Alessa Kesling and Leslie Kesling; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clem Maberry, and brother, Jonathan Maberry

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Catherine Quiring funeral fund in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main St., Newton, KS 67114.
